Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java(tm).Buster’s official title is resident blood donor; although at nearly 14 years old he has probably given his last ‘pint’. He also is a role model for those kitties out there who could stand to shed a few pounds. After spending a large amount of time cooped up in a cage after our hospital burned, he topped the scales at well over 15 pounds! We decided some tough love was in order and with some rationing of his diet (and Momma, his new play pal) he is now down to a svelte 10 pounds. Buster still loves to just hang out and hold up the walls, but now has the energy to run around and play again. We’re all very proud of him. You may see him lying on the counter some day; feel free to give him some TLC, he loves it.

Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java(tm). This is Momma. Momma came to FVH by way of the animal control officer. She was homeless, pregnant, and hit by a car. After examination it was determined that she had fractured her pelvis. Needless to say that she was not going to be able to have kittens on her own. We proceeded with the C- section, but to our dismay the kittens did not make it.

Momma needed cage rest and lots of TLC and it was in this time that we all fell in love with her. When her cage restriction was lifted we would let her out to get a bit of exercise. She owned the place from that moment on, and we were hooked. Needless to say we all then worked for Momma, she was the boss no doubt.

For nearly 2 and 1/2 years Momma ran our hospital. She has since gone to live with a past FVH employee where she has been reacquainted with another FVH rescued kitty. While she was with us, Momma spent her days scavenging for food. This is her main love in life. She also lent a hand in the lab, dental, pharmacy and quite often was seen in appointments just lending moral support. We call her the avenger, beware aggressive animals, Momma has a no tolerance program. Momma is one of a kind, she has bonded with each of us in some way or another. We were lucky to find her and she was lucky to have found us.
